drafting a new product page
Company: Saudenne London
Role: Product designer
Product: Product page (design challenge)
SAUDENNE London is a homewares shop and e-commerce specialising in furniture and home accessories. After launching in the UK, the company is poised to embark on the extensive endeavour of meticulously revamping and ensuring the continuous upkeep of the website, right from its initial stages.
As part of a design challenge, I was asked to delve into contemporary trends and best practices in the pursuit of a more engaging product page. A design focused on product quality and details, and more in line with their new rebranding.
Using only the 3 main colours with the accent from the old website and keeping it coherent with the homepage, the design is based on scrolling. Detailed product images and attention-grabbing CTA using the new branding guidelines for color-blocking.
a lesson learned
I had a lot of fun with this project, as this was my first challenge more focused on UI. The designs were welcomed with appreciation and many relevant questions… I’m kidding. They never replied to me. (ah ah)
Looking back I guess it tells a lot about a company if they ask you to work on their products as part of a challenge. Lesson learned :)
Regardless I’m grateful for the inspiration to work on something more creatively. Looking forward to more chances to work my design muscles.
