charting a new service

Company: The Product Refinery

Role: Full time (2019-2020)

Product: Website, digital collaterals, branding.

TPR is a start-up created after the founder identified a gap within the learning and development offerings in the industry. She founded The Product Refinery to create a platform that provides coaching programs curated for product managers.

I joined TPR in the early phases of discovery to support their research from the perspective of product, business and creative direction. The intent was to test our proposition with a focus on launching the MVP.

Since then, I designed the website, delivered the company's brand, and rolled it out to all business templates, social profiles and external-facing materials.

a change of scope

After 6 months dedicated to discovery and user research, data suggested an alternative business model, one much more feasible to begin with. Although every product manager interviewed, showed a great deal of interest in coaching as a learning and development option. Leadership teams and senior managers demonstrated to be much more curious about one potential offering: teaching product coaching to PMs so they could coach their pipeline.

That is today’s TPR main business model, the first step in building the founder’s vision for a more effective upskill process in the product space.
